All apron stripes of the main 18 greens are being spiked, over seeded with a fescue seed mix, brushed in to the holes by hand and then dressed over the top with a sand mixed dressing, that is then brushed in again and is back ready for play.
This is done in preparation of spraying a chemical called rescue in a couple of weeks time which takes out rye grass (horrible looking clumps of thick grass creeping closer to the green) this allows the fescue grasses to come through and leave a finer sward to putt or chip off.
